On 20th February the AVDC Strategic Development Management Committee (SDMC) approved the plans to build 170 houses in Maids Moreton.  To everyone in the village, the size and nature of the development is a nonsense. AVDC Strategic Development Management Committee approve plan to build 170 houses in Maids Moreton

Despite objections from the Parish Council, Warren Whyte, our District Councillor and numerous members of the public, on 20th February the AVDC Strategic Development Management Committee (SDMC) approved the plans to build 170 houses in Maids Moreton.  The approval is subject to all the S106 contributions and conditions being agreed with the developer. Buses Diverted

Buses will not stop here: Saturday 15th December 10am to 2pm Due to the Buckingham Christmas Parade buses will NOT serve Maids Moreton between these times. Routes will divert as follows: Service 60: will divert after serving Tesco via A421, A413, Bourton Road, Bourtonville and London Road in a one way loop. Please note route 60 will NOT serve Maids Moreton between the above times.    

 

CANCELLED - Christmas Quiz night

Unfortunately there have not been sufficient responses to make the evening work, so the parish council is going to have to cancel the quiz night booked for 18th December in the village hall.    

 

Bonfire Night - a glowing success

Bonfire Night this year was fantastic.  The weather was on our side and the fireworks were great.  A big shout out to the rugby club, the cricket club and the scouts for helping to make it a really fun evening.  And also thanks to everyone who turned up and particularly those who contributed to next year’s display, we raised £615.  

 

Bonfire Night

The ever-popular Bonfire Night  event will be held on Maids Moreton Playing Fields on Monday 5th  November. This will commence with the fire being lit at 7pm and the fireworks from 7.15pm. The 1st Maids Moreton Scouts will be providing food and drink from the Scout Hut. The Parish Council will hold a bucket collection at the end with the money contributed to go towards the cost of the fireworks.
